This month sees the return of Durbin's Yutopar (Ritodrine Hydrochloride).

Yutopar is presented in two formulations:

1. 90 Yutopar tablets, each containing 10mg Ritodrine Hydrochloride.
Basic NHS price: £30.40 Legal status: POM

Yutopar tablets are indicated for the management of uncomplicated pre-term labour following successful parenteral therapy. Oral treatment should not be used initially in an attempt to arrest labour.

2. 10 x 5ml Yutopar ampoules, each containing 50mg Ritodrine Hydrochloride in 5ml.
Basic NHS price: £35.50 Legal status: POM

Yutopar injection is indicated to arrest pre-term labour between 24 and 33 weeks of gestation in patients with no medical or obstetric contra-indication to tocolytic therapy.
