The 2005 Durbin/NANCSH Sexual Health Nurse of the Year Award was presented to Angela Star on 12th March 2005. During the ceremony, Angela presented her winning project about the high teenage pregnancy rate in Gateshead. Angela thanked the support of her colleagues at Gateshead PCT before accepting the £1000 prize cheque from Durbin PLC.
